Lens options that can change daily comfort

For long screen days, a standard progressive lens may be ideal if your work involves moving frequently between people, paperwork and a monitor. If nearly all of your day is spent at a desk, occupational or computer lenses can provide wider intermediate and near fields than a general-purpose progressive. They are excellent second pairs for many professionals, but are not designed for driving or distance wear.

Higher prescriptions may benefit from thinner, lighter lens materials to improve comfort and keep the profile more refined. The best choice depends on the prescription and frame, as some combinations bring compromises in weight, optics, edge thickness or cost.
