During every eye examination, we typically screen for visually threatening and life threatening conditions including:

 

  • Glaucoma

  • Cataracts

  • Macular Degeneration

  • Diabetic Retinopathy

  • Papilloedema or Raised intracranial Pressure

  • Retinal holes

  • Retinal Tears

  • Central and Branch Retinal vein or arterial occlusions (Eye strokes)

  • Pigment Dispersion Syndrome

  • Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome

  • Anterior Uveitis including Iritis

  • Keratoconus

  • Irregular Corneal astigmatism

  • Allergic conjunctivitis

Some conditions can be treated in our clinic, some require regular monitoring and others require referrals (some urgent) to an ophthalmologist or eye hospital.
